Atlanta, GA – September 25, 2024 – Sciath Security, LLC (the “Company” or “Sciath Security”), a leader in physical security solutions, announced today the acquisition of three strategic companies: Kellington Protection LLC (“Kellington”) , REDCON Solutions Group LLC (“REDCON”), and Vigilant North Protective Services LLC (“Vigilant North”). This move strengthens the Company’s presence across key sectors by expanding its capabilities in providing advanced security solutions to clients nationwide.
Kellington, based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has earned an excellent reputation as a market leader in providing protective services to educational institutions, corporate offices, and special events. This acquisition will also include the operations of Kellington Protection Services LLC and KaiBro LLC (collectively, “Kellington”).
REDCON, headquartered in Saint Petersburg, Florida, specializes in security for government contracts and critical infrastructure.
Vigilant North operating out of Becker, MN, excels in regional security operations with a focus on emergency response and customized protection solutions.
With these acquisitions, Sciath Security bolsters its service offerings, ensuring that clients benefit from enhanced expertise, expanded geographical coverage, and a broader range of security services.

REDCON’s CEO, Kyle Evans, added, “Our mission has always been to provide top-tier security solutions to protect critical infrastructure and government clients. Partnering with Sciath Security strengthens our ability to achieve this mission and enhances our capabilities moving forward.” Kyle will remain with the Company as President, REDCON, continuing to guide his division with extensive expertise and visionary leadership.
Vigilant North CEO, Wyatt Huls, echoed similar sentiments: “The partnership with Sciath Security enables us to scale our operations and continue providing customized, responsive protection solutions that our clients depend on.” Wyatt will serve as the Chief Operating Officer of Sciath Security.
The transactions closed on September 25, 2024, with all divisions continuing to operate under their existing brands while integrating operations under the Sciath Security umbrella. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
Sciath Security is backed by Fire Pit Capital (“FPC”), a private equity firm based in Athens, Georgia. This is FPC’s first investment in the security services and protection sectors and it is looking to facilitate growth initiatives, to include additional acquisitions. According to Mark Murray, Managing Director of FPC, “We believe the combination of these four niche security service providers gives us the scalable platform we need to pursue opportunities in a growing sector.”
Two of the key officers are disabled veterans, and the business continues to be run by veterans, maintaining a strong commitment to veteran leadership.
