On March 11, 2011, my world was forever changed. My sister, Jayna, was taken from us in an act of brutal violence. I lost my sister, but I also lost the sense of safety and certainty that I once took for granted.

Grief doesn’t fade. It transforms. After that devastating night, I was faced with a choice: remain in the darkness or channel my pain into something greater. I chose the latter.

That choice led me to focus all my energy into Sciath Security, LLC; a company that stands as both a tribute to Jayna’s memory and a mission to ensure that no one else experiences such a devastating loss. The painful truth is that there were security guards nearby that night. They could have intervened – they didn’t. That failure made one thing clear: security and protection must be better.

Sciath exists because protection should never be an afterthought. It should be an expectation. A responsibility. A promise.

I carry Jayna with me every single day. Through Sciath, her impact lives on. We’re building a movement. One that prioritizes protection over reaction, prevention over regret, and vigilance over vulnerability.
