How it all started
Sciath was born from a tragedy and the resulting desire to create a better, more proactive alternative in the security space. Our CEO, Hugh Murray, lost his sister in 2011, when she was killed during a retail robbery. Sadly, there were security guards nearby who could have intervened but didn’t have the skills, training, or accountability to do so. Recognizing the need for a higher standard of protection, Hugh collaborated with Special Ops veteran and friend Wyatt Huls to create Sciath. Everyone at Sciath shares this vision.

Hugh’s service in the U.S. Army JAG Corps, with assignments to elite special operations units, instilled a skill set essential for high-stakes decision-making. His roles as Chief Legal Advisor and Commander imbued him with a unique blend of leadership capabilities, disciplined strategic thinking, and legal acumen.
As a former professional triathlete, 100-mile ultra-marathon runner, and Ironman World Championship competitor, Hugh brings determination, mental fortitude, and peak performance to his role, serving as a beacon for Sciath Security.
His financial expertise, developed through significant roles at Morgan Stanley and ING Funds, ensures a solid foundation in asset management and adherence to regulatory standards. Drawing on his experience as a General Counsel and Compliance Officer in a leading physical security company, Hugh also brings a deep understanding of the industry’s nuances, crucial for guiding Sciath Security’s strategic advancements.
The tragic murder of Hugh’s sister, Jayna, deeply influenced his dedication to enhancing the security industry. Transforming his grief, Hugh now focuses all his energy into Sciath Security; a company that stands as both a tribute to Jayna’s memory and a mission to ensure that no one else experiences such a devastating loss. Sciath exists because protection should never be an afterthought. It should be an expectation. A responsibility. A promise.
Living at the intersection of military experience, legal and financial acumen, and personal commitment to the security industry, Hugh Murray leads Sciath Security with a steadfast vision, steering the company’s strategy and ensuring stable, sustainable growth.
With a decade of service as a Critical Skills Operator in Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC), Wyatt has honed the ability to make precise and effective decisions in high-pressure environments. He further refined these skills as a contractor in high-risk global security operations and founder of executive protection specialists, Vigilant North.
Formerly the Senior Director of Ops and Intel at a leading physical security company, Wyatt is a seasoned expert in the industry and demonstrates an exceptional ability to navigate complex operational landscapes. His focus on meticulous risk assessment and strategic alignment ensure that operations run efficiently while his passion for solving complex problems and vigor for innovation drive him to continuously push the envelope of what is possible in the physical security profession.
Now enrolled in the Executive MBA program at the University of Michigan and armed with a Bachelor of Science degree in Strategic Studies and Defense Analysis from Norwich University, Wyatt seamlessly blends theoretical knowledge with real-world application. Every choice is informed by data-driven analytics and a wealth of experience – ensuring operations align seamlessly with strategic goals.

Aaron is a seasoned professional in the private security industry with over 20 years of experience. Known for his commitment to excellence, he combines deep industry expertise with a relentless focus on exceptional client service, ensuring that everyone receives the highest level of protection and personalized attention. His visionary approach and proven track record have established him as a trusted leader in the field, continually setting new standards in security and client satisfaction. In 2010, he founded Kellington Protection, and under his leadership, the company grew to generate over 24 million dollars in annual revenue.
Beyond his professional success, Aaron is deeply committed to giving back to the community. His charitable initiative organizes annual turkey drives and toy drives, providing meals to families in need and joy to children who might otherwise go without gifts during the holiday season. This dedication to philanthropy reflects Aaron Kellington’s belief in the power of community and his commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Kyle has dedicated a large part of his career to working for and with US Military Veterans, and he brings that dedication to us, as REDCON joins Sciath Security.
Kyle is a Retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant and combat wounded veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After his own rehabilitation, the Purple Heart recipient turned to serving veterans as a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist at the Department of Veterans Affairs Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic. There he successfully placed 96% of his assigned caseload for permanent employment.
Combining his passions for humanitarian relief, professional development, risk management, and security led Kyle to the 2014 launch of REDCON Solutions Group. Kyle’s leadership has since been recognized multiple times, receiving the Gold HIRE Vets Medallion Award from the U.S. Department of Labor, Hands of Mercy Award from the Central Florida Commission on Homelessness, the Service to the Armed Forces Award from the American Red Cross of Orlando, the Veterans of Influence Spirit of America Award, and the 40 Under 40 Award from the Orlando Business Journal.
With an expertise in rapid deployment disaster relief support, Kyle Evans excels at developing and leading large and complex security initiatives.
